  • A single variety perry made by Kevin Garrod in Monmouthshire from the Thorn' perry pear.  One of the oldest vareities of perry pear which was widely planted in traditional orchards across the South West in the 1800 and 1900's. A very tough and hardy variety, producing heavy crops of small yellow pears with a slight russetting. Originally used for cooking, but now considered an excellent pear for producing perry, with medium acidity and low levels of tannin.
